Description: I have spent my life in New Mexico, where I have ridden horses on ditch banks and in the mountains; raced sailboats; raised children, dogs and vegetables; studied photography and painting at University of New Mexico and other venues; documented numerous weddings and other celebrations; traveled the world with great joy, but so far, I have always returned happily to the state that I love. I have been a photographer for thirty years, primarily specializing in B&W portraiture and event photography, but recently I have begun exploring some of the artistic possibilities within digital photography. While I see photography as a never-ending quest of creating an image that accurately captures the beauty of what I see and how I see it, the best part comes the ink hits the paper and the unexpected happens. It is that bit of painterly serendipity, which occurs from time to time, that intrigues me the most and keeps me searching.
