Vienna Chamber Opera

Description: Wiener Kammeroper has now been a fixture of Viennese cultural life for more than fifty years. Founded in 1953 by Hans Gabor, it is an important detail in the big picture of Vienna's reputation as a city of music. Innumerable young artists gained their first stage experience at Wiener Kammeroper; and many an international career took off from here. The International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition is one of the most renowned and biggest singers' competitions world-wide. In the opera season 1999/2000 Isabella Gabor and Holger Bleck took over the management of the Kammeroper.
