Covenant House is the largest privately-funded nonprofit agency in North and Central America providing shelter and other services to homeless, runaway and throwaway youth. Covenant House has locations in the United States in Anchorage, Atlanta, Atlantic City, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, New Orleans, New York, Oakland, Orlando, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Washington, D. C. Outside the United States, Covenant House facilities are located in Toronto, Ontario, Vancouver, British Columbia, Guatemala City, Guatemala, Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Mexico City, Mexico, Managua, Nicaragua and San Jose, Costa Rica. In addition, the Covenant House Nineline (1-800-999-9999) provides free and confidential crisis counseling to parents and young people 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
