WAT PROMKUNARAM - Up Coming Event ขอเชิญร่วมงานวันสงกรานต์ วันกตัญญู ณ วัดพรหมคุณาราม รัฐอริโซน่า วันเสาร์-อาทิตย์ที่ 9 – 10 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2554 ----------------------- วันสงกรานต์ เป็นวันสำคัญตามประเพณีแต่โบราณ เป็นวันขึ้นปีใหม่ ที่ทุกคนจะต้องทำบุญตักบาตร สรงน้ำพระ รดน้ำดำหัวผู้สูงอายุ รับพรจากผู้ใหญ่ พิธีสวดนพเคราะห์เสริมสิริมงคล และสนุกสนานตามประเพณี ทำพิธีมาติกาบังสุกุลอัฐิธาตุของญาติผู้ล่วงลับไป เป็นการแสดงถึงความกตัญญูกตเวทีและรักษาวัฒนธรรมประเพณีอันดีงามไว้ ทางวัดพรหมคุณาราม จึงขอเชิญชวนทุกท่านร่วมพิธีดังกล่าวในวันเสาร์ที่ 9 และวันอาทิตย์ที่ 10 เมษายน ศกนี้ ด้วยนำอัฐิหรือภาพถ่ายของบุพพการีหรือท่านที่เคารพนับถือมาทำพิธีบังสุกุล ดังกำหนดการต่อไปนี้ วันเสาร์ที่ 9 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2554 09.00 น. -11.00 น. ตั้งต้นผ้าป่าสามัคคี และตั้งอัฐิหรือภาพถ่ายของบุพพการี ถวายภัตตาหาร เพลแด่พระสงฆ์ 19.00 น. ชมนาฎศิลป์ ดนตรีไทย การประกวดเทพีสงกรานต์ สอยดาว และดนตรีนักร้อง ตลาดการกุศลของวัด วันอาทิตย์ที่ 10 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2554 10.00 น. ทำบุญตักบาตรและถวายภัตตาหารเพล บังสุกุลอุทิศส่วนกุศล 13.00 น. ทำพิธีสวดนพเคราะห์ และเสริมสิริมงคล 14.00 น. ถวายผ้าป่า สรงน้ำพระ รดน้ำดำหัว SONGKRAN FESTIVAL (THAI NEW YEAR) APRIL 9-10, 2011 AT WAT PROMKUNARAM (BUDDHIST TEMPLE OF ARIZONA) 17212 W. MARYLAND AVE., WADDELL, AZ 85355 Tel. (623) 935-2276 * * * * * * * * * "Songkran" is the traditional Thai New Year's Day, which is celebrated every year on April 13. The Thai Buddhists follow the tradition by : 1) going to temple to perform merit; 2) worshipping the Buddha; 3) offering food to monks; 4) observing the five precepts; 5) bathing the Buddha’s images, monks and the elder people (as symbol of the young one’s respect also asking for blessing); and 6) the young people will take delight in splashing water on each other. This is known as Songkran in “The Water Splashing Festival”. Wat Promkunaram will organize Songkran Day on April 9, 2011 from 03.00 p.m. to midnight. And we have Thai Traditional Costume and Thai classical dancing, Thai cultural performances and various Thai food for sale. On April 10, 2011 Buddhist activities and blessing you in peace and happiness in your life. You are most welcome to participate in this event. For those who would like to make donations to the Temple, please contact the Temple, order to “Wat Promkunaram” SCHEDULE Saturday, April 9, 2011 09.00 a.m. bring your ancestral bone or figure dead and donation Money tree 07.00p.m.– Midnight Thai classical dancing, Miss Songkran contest etc. (Various Thai food are available for sale) Sunday, April 10, 2011 10.30a.m. Buddhist lay people pay respect to the Triple Gem and observe Precepts and chanting and arms Bowl offering. 11.00a.m. Lunch Offering to the monks. 13.00p.m. Monks perform chanting in dedication to deceased people. Ceremonial bathing of the Buddha Statue and monks. Ceremonial bathing of the respected elderly. You are cordially invited to participate in this Annual Festival.
