Adagio's Adventures
Steve and Dorothy Darden's story of the design and construction of a world cruising yacht. The six year project began in 1993 when the initial construction drawings were completed by Morrelli & Melvin Design and Engineering, and Carl Schumacher, NA. Adagio was launched in June, 2000. She sailed to New Caledonia in Sept, 2000, to Brisbane in Dec, 2000, to Hobart, Tasmania in March, 2001. The Adagio site contains requirements, specifications and many detailed design documents. There is a technical section with information on electrical design, onboard email and communications, weather and weather routing. There is a resources section referencing people and internet information useful to cruisers. Lastly there are sections organized by calendar year containing photos and cruising reports.
