Grant Park Conservancy, Chicago
The Grant Park Conservancy is a 501c(3) not-for-profit with a mission to provide a permanent body that enables Grant Park to respond and adapt to the changing needs of its users, as the park passes from generation to generation. Some of these needs relate to landscaping, infrastructure, design, cultural activities, and environmental issues. Current needs include: Assisting the Chicago Park District in improving landscape design and maintenance; Activating a volunteer Grant Park stewardship program; Helping nurture an environment conducive to the arts, including performance, exhibition and education; Helping plan spaces for use by the adjoining communities; Encouraging pedestrian and bicycle-friendly design in and around Grant Park; Advocating for public dollar expenditures in Grant Park Developing ways to reduce traffic congestion and improve transportation links into Grant Park.

Great American Tavern, a casual, fun, dining and entertainment venue conveniently located at 303 Main Street ( Route 28 ) in North Reading, Massachusetts. The idea for Great American Tavern was born in summer of 2010, when partner’s Robert Palmer, Chuck Mulik, Brian Morin, and David Doherty agreed to lease the location which once housed the popular nitespots “Ristorante Daniella” and “Barnside”. The idea was to create a place where
all-ages would feel comfortable and welcome. The American-themed Tavern’s décor of vintage photos of sports heroes, famous musicians, politicians, and movie stars will get your attention as soon as you walk in the door. The open concept with 19 foot ceilings, modern lighting, and comfortable seating will help you to settle right in. Our modestly priced menu offers large portions with something to satisfy everyone, and the extensive drink menu features a list of specialty martinis as well as 14 draft beer selections.
But that’s not all!..move to the adjoining space and be part of a completely different experience and atmosphere. Here the room is simple and elegant, as nice as any around. Our wall of 7ft. mirrors is impressive and attention grabbing. Live entertainment takes center stage at 9pm featuring bands, DJ’s and comedians on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Come listen to our talented musicians, dance to the beats of our DJ’s or laugh until you cry on our comedy nights.
