Women in Aerospace - Expanding Women's Opportunities - Home
Women in Aerospace (WIA) is dedicated to expanding women's opportunities for leadership and increasing their visibility in the aerospace community. Our membership — women and men — shares an interest in a broad spectrum of aerospace issues, including human space flight, aviation, remote sensing, satellite communications, robotic space exploration, an the policy issues surrounding these fields.
As part of its program to provide a forum for discussion of national policy related to science, space, aeronautics and technology issues, WIA sponsors frequent meetings at various times of day and locations throughout the Washington, DC area. Speakers include senior representatives of the Administration, Members of Congress, industry leaders, scientists, educators, and international aerospace experts. Topics cover current developments in science and technology policy. Networking is one of the benefits of joining Women in Aerospace. WIA has had local chapters in several US cities, facilitating their professional activities and initiatives.
