boo | ben oostrum ontwerpt is a design studio founded by Ben Oostrum. Ben graduated at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam as a sculptor. From the BOO-studio in Rotterdam he works on product and interior design both on his own initiative and under assignment. This has resulted in a variety of interior products such as furniture, lighting and accessories.
Ben oostrum is mixing different references like production techniques, contemporary materials and usability into new objects. The latest BOO designs show, beside these references, a strong fascination for modularity, which brings a surplus value to the products.
Through the use of tactile materials and pleasing shapes and colours the products of BOO radiate a positive atmosphere.
