Ken Downes Consulting
Rev. Dr. Kenneth Downes is a transition management consultant based in the western Massachusetts village of Shelburne Falls. He coaches individuals, groups, and organizations about the emotional impact of change, the normal and predictable stages of transition that people move through, and strategies for dealing with the inevitable feelings of loss and resistance that come during periods of sustained change. Ken is a certified William Bridge's transition trainer and works with foundations, agencies, and institutions who are interested in applying the transition framework to social change. Dr. Downes has worked all around the United States with foster care agencies who are committed to helping youth in care to make the successful transition to independence. He has also consulted on community reconciliation projects using a collaborative change model to help overcome natural resource or identity-based conflict.
