Jessica Angel, artista colombiana nacida en 1980, es egresada de la facultad de artes plásticas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Su trabajo toma forma a través de varios medios tales como dibujo, pintura, video, serigrafía y collage.
En su último proyecto 'Los Papeles de la Ley'; Jessica explora el simbolismo relacionado con procesos notariales. Cheques, documentos legales y sellos actúan como significantes de un interesante diálogo con las imágenes representadas en los lienzos: lotes embargados, notarias y oficinas judiciales. ||||| Jessica Angel’s approach over the plastic issue takes form in various mediums such as video, drawing, painting and silkscreen printing. Albeit, her work mainly takes form by using mixed media on canvas.
A constant trough her development has been the integration of linguistic symbols and images, so to create an artistic depiction of the structural core of modern society’s way of interacting.
Her last exhibit displayed an interpretation of the aesthetics contained on legal documents. Revenue stamps, signs, serial numbers and bank checks are the topics she treats on this exhibition called The papers of the law.
