GLEN ANNIE ORGANICS is the current operation in an experiment in organic agriculture spanning the past 30 years. In the 1970's we started growing avocados using only manure and virtually no pest control. In the 1980's we bought a rundown farm in Goleta and turned it into Fairview Gardens - a training ground for organic cultural practices where many of the best organic growers on the South Coast got their start. In the 1990's we transferred Fairview Gardens to a Conservation Trust that would assure the founding values would continue. The next project was Glen Annie Organics. We grow all our avocado, lemon and Satsuma mandarin by the highest organic standards. Then we grade and pack our fruit on a state of the art packing line and ship it to the finest organic wholesalers and retailers in the state.
