Welcome to Rehoboth Apostolic Worship Center
In the summer of 2010, Pastor Hunt brought together the church family to discuss the renaming of the church to Rehoboth Apostolic Worship Center. In true celebration, the church family has come to embrace the new name and all it represents. On October 3, 2010 we all came together to dedicate and consecrate the new name that God had given the ministry. We believe our name change should be perceived as an acknowledgement of the size, strength and scope this ministry will achieve. We are expanding, expansive and explosive—Rehoboth Apostolic Worship Center! Rehoboth represents good ground—a strong, powerful legacy with a history rich in worship and service. Each successive leader has sown seed that yielded growth and increase in the kingdom of God. While the leadership has changed over the years, its commitment to the advancement of God’s kingdom has been consistent. We strive to recognize and understand more clearly the word of God so that we live and grow to be more fruitful. Under Pastor Hunt’s direction, Rehoboth embraces its growth in teaching, leadership training and development, mentorship, stewardship, global ministry, community outreach and promoting family life. Along with this level of growth, comes new ministries being formed among which are the Hiram Jackson Scholarship Fund, named after our Pastor Emeritus, reading and math tutoring, GED preparation classes, partnership with World Vision which contributions support the children of Africa, our Have-a-Heart and Project Smiles ministries. We will also be introducing a writing lab in 2011 and rekindle the reading enrichment program, SOAR2 and so much more to come. Under Pastor Hunt’s direction, Rehoboth also embraces its growth with the expansion of our efforts for community outreach. We continue to sponsor two neighborhood schools, a back to school drive and an overall plan to enlarge the Kingdom throughout the community. Our most recent effort being Community Day activities held in 2009 and 2010. After 43 years, this ministry continues to flourish in the spirit of excellence. We seek to affect positive change in the world as we live out our motto—“Connected to Christ through service and touching the world through ministry”. We move together to the next level. As a family, we continue the work of the Kingdom and celebrate our Rehoboth. We know and believe ”. . . that the Lord has made room for us and we shall be fruitful in the land”.
