Nick Bontrager
?Nick Bontrager is an Ohio-based installation artist whose work explores the disjunction between the real and the virtual. Having only recently moved outside of Texas after living there for 25 years, he has noticed that the Midwest landscape and meteorological differences where he currently resides impact and influence his studio practice. After he received an undergraduate degree in fine art photography in 2008 from the University of Houston, his interest soon shifted to time-based media and installation artwork. Currently an MFA candidate at The Ohio State University, Bontrager continues to evolve his research in the art and technology program of the Department of Art.
