The Artist Shop is a cooperative CD & music store for artist owned and independent labels. Our members include King Crimson, Robert Fripp, Peter Hammill, Synergy, Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues, Keith Emerson and Greg Lake of ELP, Christopher Franke of Tangerine Dream, Patrick O'Hearn, Suzanne Ciani, Mike Keneally, Loop Guru, Gongzilla, Soft Machine, Happy the Man, Kitaro, etc. Our music includes progressive, jazz, fusion, world music, new age, electronic, ambient and much more.

Artist Lynn Baird
Lynn Baird was born in Warkworth in 1954, and now lives in Wellington, but has spent many years of her life in Sydney, Australia where she completed her formal art training.
She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts Degree at the City Arts Institute, Sydney in 1987, later graduating with a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of NSWs College of Fine Arts in 1994.
Lynn has worked steadily since graduation, and has won a number of Australian awards and scholarships for her paintings, including the SMH Heritage Award, Blaxland Gallery, and the Portia Geach Memorial Award.
In Sydney she was represented by the Access Contemporary Art Gallery, and exhibited in regular group shows before moving back to New Zealand where she completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching of Art/Art History from Auckland College of Education in 2002.
Lynn says her atmospheric landscape paintings are a personal exploration of how a particular landscape affects me, rather than approaching it in an historical sense.
On viewing these paintings her aim becomes clear with rich earthy tones, luscious oils and sensual shadowing working together to create scenes that are at once mesmerising with scenic beauty, yet true to life.
Lynns work is included in many New Zealand and Australian corporate and private collections.
