Yuto Watanabe - Photographer
Hi, I’m Yuto and I'm a high school student at Phillips Academy Andover. I always liked photography, but I really started and got my first DSLR a couple years ago, and I’ve come very far since then. Now I’m the Head of Photography for my weekly school paper, The Phillipian, and shoot hired for certain jobs. I enjoy shooting editorial, events, and sports photogrpahy. Just a bit about myself – I was born in New York, spent grades 2-9 in Japan, so I can speak both English and Japanese equally well (or badly). Currently I go to a boarding school near Boston, MA, but go back home to Tokyo during long school breaks. None of my friends owned DSLRs when I started up, so struggled for a while and eventually figured things out with a lot of help from the internet and books. Through this website I hope to help out others with their photos and share the joy of photography by providing little lessons that I know would’ve helped me back when I was getting started.
