Arich Harrison Sculpture.Regularly called upon for his remarkable ability to reproduce what he sees, Arich Harrison is a sculptor passionately dedicated to the preservation of representational art. His specialization in likenesses and scientific realism has earned Arich opportunities to sculpt everything from celebrity busts and film industry style guides to full figures, famous racehorses and life-size dinosaurs, among others.
Classically trained as an artist, Arich also brings to his work a heritage of relentless commitment to beauty. His great-grandfather was a Swedish artisan who earned a living creating fine wooden musical instruments and elegant wooden furniture. Having inherited his gift for precision, Arich approaches his work from a perspective that no piece is ever finished, ever quite beautiful enough in its forms and lines or its emotive essence.
A professional sculptor for more than eight years, Arich enjoyed drawing as a pastime from early childhood and was set apart at a young age by his instructors as gifted in the visual arts. Today, Arichs work has received praise from such notable artists as Richard MacDonald, Glenna Goodacre, Martin Eichinger, Veryl Goodnight, and Jay Hall Carpenter.
Arich, a California native, has worked with prestigious clients from varied industries including toy manufacturing and cinema. His clientele features such industry leaders as Gentle Giant Studios, McFarlane Design Group, FAO Schwartz, Disney Imagineering, Alterion Inc., Artist's Asylum Inc., the Natural History Museum in Cairo, Mill Creek Studios, Coca-Cola, Atlanta Falcons, Shadai Stallion Station, and Garner Holt Productions.
Though he has found his greatest earthly influences among the masters such as Michelangelo, Bernini, Houdon, Degas and Rodin, Arichs motivation and inspiration come from The Creator. He says, Sculpting is one of few behaviors unique to humans. God made us creative, so we naturally engage in making art. When God gives a person exceptional creative ability, its that persons privilege to use their gift to glorify Him. Offering my talent to honor Him for the ultimate gift he gave his only Son (Jesus) is the sublime fulfillment of my creative vision.
