WELCOME!! I hope you enjoy looking at my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
I became interested in digital photography after my wife and I visited Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico in June 2006. I was inspired by the beauty of the landsacpe and the abundance of art (photographic work in particular) on display in the galleries and studios in the area.
Shortly after our trip to New Mexico, I began studying photo magazines and books and then purchased my first Digital SLR. Life hasn’t been the same since. Digital photography and the SLR have become my passion. I can hardly put the camera down or turn off my computer. I have had cameras and taken snapshots since the age of about seven. Now, through technology and digital imaging , I have moved beyond the snapshot and into more creative photography.
We visited Santa Fe again in the spring of 2007 and moved there that summer. We enjoyed the lifestyle, the vast cultural offerings, and the wealth of photographic opportunities in the Santa Fe area. The beautiful landscapes and the dramatic skies were a constant source of inspiration. We are currently living in Florence, Alabama, an area of significant beauty, diverse landscapes and numerous cultural offerings.. With Florence as our base, we travel as much as possible and continue to seek new and unique photo opportunities.
My initial focus was on nature and landscape photography, but that has expanded to include candid shots of people, black and white photography and architectural detail. Using my camera, I try to capture details that reveal the essence of the people, landscape, architecture and life of the places we visit. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
