Monsters and Philosophy, a new book edited by Charles T. Wolfe. If one looks at the history of philosophy (Aristotle, Augustine, Montaigne, Malebranche, Locke, Leibniz, Diderot, etc.) the right way, biological ‘monsters’ simply leap off the page. This new collection examines the cases when philosophy ‘comes down’ into the biological realm and confronts problems such as the existence of monsters.

The Caribbean Tertiary Level Personnel Association
The Caribbean Tertiary Level Personnel Association (C.T.L.P.A.) was born out of the need for student services personnel at the tertiary institutions to:
1. Better understand their role as an essential part of student learning and development
2. Enhance their ability to plan and implement student development programmes
3. See themselves as part of a specific professional group, rather than as isolated individuals performing specific tasks.
The primary focus of the C.T.L.P.A. is to foster timely development of a student centred culture in educational institutions at the tertiary level across the Caribbean. The Association will network with student services personnel within those institutions so as to enhance their role as educators and encourage the highest levels of professionalism.
