BACCHANALIA RESTAURANT & COCKTAIL WINE BAR. Bacchanalia is a Greek word for 'a gathering of people eating, drinking and having a good time'. We are situated in Tudor house on Chapel walks 100 yards walk from Kings Street. Our peaceful location provides the perfect ambiance for the perfect meal. We serve a mixture of Mediterranean inspired dishes with some English favourites thrown in for good measure. Bacchanalia is well situated for shoppers and business-folk alike, turning into a busy night-time venue for dinner and drinks. Downstairs is predominantly a bar, with our bartenders serving cocktails and a selection of wines that Baccus would be proud of. Upstairs is the 'non-smoking' restaurant with an open planned kitchen. If you are looking for the perfect venue for a conference or a meeting or maybe somewhere to dance the night away at a private party, then our very own Ampitheatre is just what you're looking for!!! Bacchanalia is the brain child of Jon Derbyshire & Neil Smith who have been working in this industry for over 20 years between them. Jon served his apprenticeship at TGI Fridays as a Master bartender then went on to work for Living Ventures as a valued member of The Living Room concept in Manchester. Neil's background has always been management. Neil's first position was at TGI Fridays as an Assistant General Manager, he later went on the work for Living Ventures as a General Manager in some of the busiest units.
