Bayou Industrial Group
Bayou Industrial Group is an association of businesses, professionals and individuals in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Assumption Parishes of Louisiana focused on economic development of our region, as well as infrastructure improvements, hurricane protection and coastal restoration, advancements in education, and public health and safety. The organization meets monthly, usually the first Monday of each month, in Thibodaux. Guests are always invited to attend for a nominal luncheon fee. For information, call 985-580-3901.

During the early years, the Nemzins met the growing needs of the Houston Ship Channel industrial sector by supplying a large range of products, including steel, pipe, fittings, flanges, and valves, as well as industrial tools, equipment, and supplies. It was the Nemzins’ idea to be the “supermarket for industry,” and with grit, determination, and hard work, their vision became a reality.
