ABA International home page
ABA therapy is a precise and measured system of teaching skills and behaviors. Though it has many other functional applications, its most commonly associated with teaching young children with autism. Whilst typically developing children learn through interactive and imitative play, autistic children are not able to learn this way, and must be taught via intensive repetition, known as discrete trial teaching. The objectives of ABA therapy are as follows: Increasing desirable behaviors, decreasing undesirable behaviors and skill acquisition.
