As a young fast growing company, Reederei Blue Star GmbH is continuously looking for people who could add to the concept of competitive and high quality ship management. Reederei Blue Star GmbH, which started its activities in Germany in 2002, has experienced a period of rapid growth. Starting of that year with an order of five geared medium size container vessels in Korea this order was quickly extended to nine. These nine 2500 teu vessels have all been delivered to the company in 2003 and 2004. In 2004 an additional existing 14 vessels, previously owned and managed by P&O Nedlloyd, came into German ownership and Reederei Blue star management. Currently a series of eight high technology big size (8450 teu) container vessels are being delivered from Japan and three similar size vessels, which have been built in Korea will be taken over from another German management company this year. By the end of 2007, Reederei Blue Star will be managing 34 full container vessels.
