Seven Seas Cayman
Seven Seas Charters is a licensed business in the Cayman Islands which is 100% Caymanian owned and operated. This business was solely formed by it's owner and manager Shaun Ebanks who by no means is no stranger in the Cayman Islands. Having previously worked in law enforcement for almost (20) twenty years and having chased the bad guy's on land and at sea which became some-what repetitive, he departed his homeland as a distinguished senior ranking police officer in February 2006. Seeking the experience of a new culture, a bit of adventure and to be his own boss, he relocated to Central America where he built and operated his own successful cattle farming business (Rancho Ebanks) until May of 2009. In so doing, the Spanish language was added to his vocabulary as well.
As most native Cayman men will say, there seems to be a bit of Caymanian salt water that flows through our veins which seems to attract back those of us who parted our shores, even for a short, medium or long term basis. Our beloved homeland, culture, friendliness and our seafaring heritage which goes back many generations, can be contributed to this. Once returning back home the idea evolved to create a business and working environment that became all very natural to develop and establish.
Of course, the necessity of locating a quality vessel for this business venture would be of paramount importance. After much searching in person locally/overseas and via the Internet, a vessel was located outside Miami Florida USA. Following a marine survey by (SAMS) Society Accredited Marine Surveyors from mast to keel, the green light was given to proceed. VOLARE a brilliantly designed and fully outfitted 34' Hunter sailing yacht (sloop) which had a history of limited use, was purchased and effortlessly sailed to Grand Cayman under it's own power.
Shaun, with his many years working in the public sector which has enabled him to travel throughout the Caribbean, US and the UK on numerous management/investigative and customer service training, is a staunch and firm believer in delivering first class service to all whom he is obligated to serve and to ensure their safety and well being at all times.
Cayman men are known locally and throughout the world as master mariners in vessels and ships that are both large and small. If your underwater appetite is yearning for snorkeling Cayman's barrier reefs which thrives with marine life, swimming and hugging with our southern stingrays at Stingray City or an evening cruise to catch a glimpse of our green flash at sunset, we're confident we will meet or exceed your expectations. If your taste is for a visit by sailing over to our sister isle's of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, there is a package tour for service to these beautiful and unique islands as well. Our tours comes with transportation, brand new vests, snorkeling equipment and food to feed our stingrays.
For the more adventurous, how about sailing over to our northerly next door neighbor at Cayo Largo, Cuba. With about two weeks advance notice and reasonable weather permitting, we will deliver you to and from this exotic getaway which is definitely becoming one of the top destinations to visit in the Caribbean.
