Mid 80's. The immigration of Dominican nationals has changed the appearance of many communities in Puerto Rico from the cultural point of view. Districts where Puerto Rican families have lived for many generations, have been flooded by illegal and undocumented Dominicans, mostly of low schooling and without any technical training. Many of the men are engaged mainly in light commercial endeavors and as laborers while many of the women resorted to opening bars or, in general, places where liquor was sold.
Young and beautiful Orquídea was one of them. In her adventures as a bar keeper, she meets Casiano, a married Puerto Rican businessman who falls for her physical enchantments.
