Brian David & Plain Spoken Folk is a gathering of the minds…a flight of the bumble bees…the Pièce de résistance…a group of people playing music who hail from the Athens-Atlanta area. BDPSF draws from blues and folk roots to create a soulful, pop-singer/songwriter-ish vibe occasionally crossing into a gospelesque country-fied funk. All those different styles and genres have allowed them to keep things unique. Telling of faith, love, loss and joy, their songs, while poetic at times, can also be bare, simple and full of truth.
