Vermont Reads Institute at UVM
Vermont Reads Institute (VRI at UVM) provides the knowledge and expertise on school improvement, teacher quality, and literacy achievement. We have the ability to work at all levels of the system from work with individual students and teachers to whole-school reform. VRI at UVM supports several existing projects such as Reading First, the Bridging Project, Vermont Strategic Reading Institute (VSRI), Literacy Leadership Initiative (LLI), and the Summer Institute.

The Cross Cultural Health Care Program (CCHCP) has been addressing broad cultural issues that impact the health of individuals and families in ethnic minority communities in Seattle and nationwide. Through a combination of cultural competency trainings, interpreter trainings, research projects, community coalition building, and other services, the Cross Cultural Health Care Program serves as a bridge between communities and health care institutions to ensure full access to quality health care that is culturally and linguistically appropriate.
