I became a photography hobbyist because of my father. He owned and enjoyed cameras of various types and taught me the basics of photography. I used several different film cameras over the years, but digital technology improved and I made the change. My first good digital camera was a Sony DSC-F707. I now use a Canon 40D with various lenses for most of my work. I use Photoshop to process the raw images from my camera. My wife, son, daughter, and grandson also enjoy photography and some of the photos on this site were taken by them.

Welcome to my photo website.
Below you will find galleries spanning over 30 years of picture taking. My photographic journey began in my early teenage years when I would sneak my camera into rock concerts. Since then, I have photographed many different areas throughout the East and West coast of the US, concentrating mainly in National Parks, Monuments, Baseball Parks, and Zoos. One theme that seems to be a constant after all these years is the colorful landscapes that to this day still catch my eye.
My favorite places to photograph will always be the National Parks in the Grand Circle.
I've been a member of the Park System for over 20 years now and truly believe that there aren't many places on this earth that can capture the beauty and serenity that they provide to us.
