Caliper Studio is an architecture firm with a 7,000 sq ft metal fabrication shop located in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 2003, the office specializes in innovative, thoughtful design that emphasizes detailing expertise and an intimate knowledge of materials and current fabrication techniques. The shop serves as both a laboratory for experimentation as well as a production shop with the resources to build projects of considerable size.
Caliper strives to provide design excellence for projects of all scales whether a complete building with complex design specifications going out for public bid or a single, custom metal stair to be fabricated in-house. Environmentally responsible materials and practices are integrated whenever possible with LEED accredited designers as both principals and staff.
Recent projects have come from a diverse client list that includes private homeowners, businesses, developers, public agencies, and non-profits. Caliper also provides detailing and fabrication services for other architects, engineers, designers, and general contractors.
