I melt blocks of colored beeswax onto the heat surface of a special iron that doesn't have any steam holes and then I actually paint the image using the iron itself. There are no actual paints or paintbrushes used in my work. I do have a stylus for drawing lines with - it looks like a soldering iron but at a much lower temperature. It has a channel in the tip that the wax melts up into and then I can draw with it. Images you see like trees and castles are done with the stylus.
