BUCHEN-ICS has been the specialist for catalyst handling under normal and nitrogen atmosphere for over 20 years. We offer a reactor service, plant preparation, catalyst handling, dismantling and installation service from a single source. We work on all catalyst relevant plant types, including, for example, hydro-crackers, FCC reactors, UOP-CCR reformers, Parex reactors and ethylene oxide plants.Each of our seven European companies works with local personnel and equipment. Our complete equipment is designed for operation in a nitrogen atmosphere and for the handling of pyrophoric (spontaneously combustible) catalyst material. LSS breathing apparatus, air pumps, screening units etc. have been specially developed for use in the chemicals and petrochemicals industry. Our LSS trailers contain an integrated breathing apparatus system, TV, video and O2 and explosive atmosphere analysis units. All air pumps are fitted with fine filters, discharge sluices and N2 cooling and recirculation. Over 150 operative specialists are trained for catalyst handling under inert conditions.
