The Independent Chef official website. The Independent Chef now offers visitors to Val dIsere a refreshingly unique approach to Alpine Holiday fine dining. Whether you are holidaying in an exclusive chalet or apartment, the Independent Chef is the only service of its kind in resort that gives its clients the freedom and flexibility of choice to arrange their own schedule for dining to suit individual requirements. Our service enables you to enjoy the luxury of a personal chef whilst allowing you to appreciate the privacy of your accommodation without the intrusion of full-time staff. The Independent Chef has seven seasons experience of serving discerning clients who have a love of fine food and wines in luxury chalets and on private yachts. The Independent Chef has stepped away from rigidly structured in house catering packages. We allow the client the flexibility to choose how frequently they wish to dine during their stay and on which nights they wish to partake of the Independent Chef service. Our innovative approach to menu design allows the client to devise their own bespoke dining experience. You select which of the seven courses (Canapés, Amuse Bouche, Entrée, Main, Dessert, Selection of Savoie Cheeses and Fresh Coffee or Herbal/Fruit Teas) you wish to be served and then simply choose from our extensive array of dishes. However, some of our clients prefer to leave the menu planning to the Independent Chef. A selected wine and spirits list is available to our clients who can pre-order the wines, champagnes and liqueurs to complement their chosen menus. At the Independent Chef we source all of our produce locally in resort and where possible from small local artisan producers and suppliers. We personally select all of our meat, fish, cheeses, vegetables, fruit and breads to guarantee that you receive only the very finest ingredients available to us. Our team will arrive a few hours before service in order to dress the dining room, complete preparations and to serve your personally tailored dinner party. Once you have finished dining we will thoroughly clean down and leave you to enjoy the rest of your evening.
