Children's Center at Groton
The Children’s Center at Groton is a non-profit organization incorporated by a group of parents who wanted to preserve and enhance a small, intimate, friendly educational childcare environment for their children. We provide care and early education for 49 children from six weeks of age through their kindergarten year, We offer a school year or full year program. The center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday year round, with the exception of 5 holidays, Thanksgiving weekend, and the week between Christmas and New Years, We are located on the beautiful campus of the Groton School; the Children’s Center is just minutes from Routes 119, 111, 2A, and the Ayer train station, At The Children’s Center at Groton, we believe that education is a powerful force for social change. Our teachers are the educators who give the children the sense of themselves as growing and powerful learners. Each child is a unique and capable learner, We believe that education grows out of the different needs of children; we see our children as individuals, not as a group. We learn how to serve each one of our children by observing them and responding to their needs. We keep an ongoing communication with individual families to better fulfill our mission; serving each and every child in our care, We follow our children through their social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth by providing them with the appropriate environment. In the classroom, the children experience social opportunities to interact with other children and the adults around them, Our children are encouraged to respect each other and are given the skills to problem solve. The materials in the classroom and our experienced teachers address the child’s cognitive development and growth. We provide many activities throughout the day to strengthen their large and small motor skills. Our program is curriculum-based, using age-appropriate themes to provide opportunities for cognitive growth

Children's Hospital of Richmond
The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health System and Children’s Hospital have joined to become Children’s Hospital of Richmond. The new hospital will provide a unified source of comprehensive, coordinated specialty pediatric care to children and their families at 10 locations throughout the greater Richmond area and in Fredericksburg.
