M.R.Conic Foundation
M.R.Conic Foundation - The M. R. Conic Foundation, Incorporated, was established
to build Senior Citizen Independent Living Housing, while providing related services, beginning in Jackson, Mississippi.
Ultimately the goal is to build in several cities around the country. The Jackson Project, however, is currently
being planned as the first project in this series. The project plan calls for 80 units of Senior housing. Some of the
housing will be independent, one and two bedroom units, in garden type apartments. Plans for the rest are based on a
concept that is known as the Green House Project. It allows for a home type of environment that facilitates congregate
meals, and activities in a warm and welcoming setting. The Seniors would each have a separate private bedroom and
bathroom, which they are allowed to furnish and decorate. This environment is one in which Seniors are able to grow,
flourish and enjoy their golden years being safe and validated each day. They are empowered to continue or begin the
active and interesting life that they desire.
