Blueroses Photography and Digital Art
Blueroses Photography features the work of photographer Georgia NeSmith, formerly of Rochester, New York and now residing in Verona, Wisconsin. The name "Blueroses" is taken from the Tennessee Williams play, "The Glass Menagerie." Protagonist Laura Wingfield suffered from pleurosis during childhood, and it made her very frail. Her brother Tom gave her the nickname "Blue Roses." Laura is supposedly a tragic figure who is unable to deal with real life. For me, the name signifies triumph over adversity - the ability to see beauty despite whatever tragic circumstances one may enounter.
