From Earth To Clay
Photography for me is more than just a good-looking photo. For me, it is a passion that was born of the desire to share moments in my life. A photo is not just a desirable point-of-view, angle, composition... neither is it about the mental or dollar value of the equipment you use. It is about time. When you get behind the viewfinder, you are transcending time and space.
Today, it is very easy for anyone to jump in to photography. With the digital boom of the recent years - it is even easier for someone to obtain the abilities that took years of learning and practice in the past. I believe this has good sides to it, and bad. It is wonderful that it can be so easily accessible by so many people, and that the joy can be so easily shared. I do believe that it is creating a generation of 'lazy' photographers though, that would rather spend money - instead of time - to 'obtain' skills that cannot be replaced by going out there and doing. I believe the art to photography is in the careful, respectful, and painstaking process in capturing that one moment that matches the heart's eye of the photographer themselves. No matter your background, schooling, or equipment, this can be achieved - if the heart of it is in the right place.
I humbly share some of my moments here with you, and I hope you enjoy. I do not have any fancy equipment, and I do not possess the abilities to do any fancy photo editing, so most of these are bare minimum. Straight from the Earth, to me, and now to you.
