I have been taking photos for over 30 years. I really got the bug after attending the Art Institute of Boston in 1969. Then I worked as a darkroom technician for a major corporation, and learned all the darkroom skills. Photography is now mostly digital and while the time to take and process a good image is a lot shorter, it is really about the light, what you see and when you decide to press the shutter button.
I have always been guided by my photo hero Ansel Adams who once said;
“In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular... sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice.”
