Syrinx Sunday Salons is a series of chamber music concerts established to encourage and promote Canadian musicians. Each concert integrates within the familiar and loved repertoire one compostion by a Canadian composer. This year, there will be 5 concerts which will include works by Chopin, Brahms, Beethoven-for example- as well as compositions by Canadian composers: Morawetz, Pepin, Hetu, MacIntyre and Holman. Our performers are highly professional artists of international stature.

Nick Williams - Composer
Nick Williams is a composer and educator - His music draws on minimalism, modernism and the immediacy of post-punk to create what The Times called ‘a hyperactive…postminimalism’ that has affinities with the urban energy of New York’s Bang On A Can composers and the rhythmic conceptualism of the Hague School.
His work has been performed widely in Britain, Europe and the United States by, among others, Philip Thomas (GB), Monica Germino (US/Netherlands) and Duo Contour (Germany).
