Losing Tom - A Documentary Film by Trish Williams
Losing Tom is a documentary film by Trish Williams about her father's struggle with alcoholism as experienced by his family and friends, and the surrounding issues of addiction, family secrets and death and dying. The accompanying Web site was developed as part of this graduate thesis project to discuss the making of the film, an analysis of the disease of alcoholism, as well as other themes from the film, reflections on personal experience, as well as being an arena for viewers to express their reactions to the film and Web site. The Web site is also a resource tool for further information on alcoholism.
