This Land located at 244 Fairhaven Hill, Concord, Massachusetts is presented by John Thompson
Only once in one hundred years does a property, decribed by Henry David Thoreau as one of his favorites, become available. Four parcels, totaling approximately 40 riverfront acres, are available for purchase. James Spooner of Plymouth, visiting the Thoreaus in the fall of 1854 wrote about a walk he had just taken with Henry Thoreau in Walden Woods: "...We went up on the hills from which you can see distant mountains and a wide prospect of the river, dale and hamlet around. We soon came to the "Cliffs" - a perpendicular ledge of rock some two hundred feet above the woods and river below - all wild and rugged far from any house, a stupendous work of Nature and worth as much to see as Niagra Falls or the Giant's Causeway!" Naturalist William Brewster, in his October Farm wrote: "thence to Fairhaven Cliffs, where we remained till sunset, talking and looking out over the glorious landscape." In the years since, little has changed.
