We life In the midst of a mystery
–24/7–like white on rice!
So please consider the following:
What’s the only thing that has always been with you?
Your emotions are in flux.
Your thoughts–ever fleeting.
Your unconscious compulsions–lurking–deep within the shadows of darkness.
Your body ages. You lose an arm . . . lose a leg–yet, the mystery remains.
When all is said and done, we awaken to the fact that the mystery we have always been living in the midst of, is our sense of:
“I am”ness.
This “I am”ness is what sustains us through all the changes in our lives; all other experiences pass away with time. Our sense of “Self” is the “One” enduring reality.
But, just what is it that enables this capacity of consciousness?
Scientists seek it deep within the neurological organization of the brain. However, localizing its exact connection to materiality eludes their continuing probes of inquiry.
Most religions have yet to take up the Chalice of contemplating deeply in this area.
Let’s set out on an adventure; the adventure of all adventures, and see if we can’t resolve this mystery which, as we look back in time, we must certainly realize has been propelling us forward since before even the very mechanism of memory.
