Into the Mythica - Postcards from Faerie
Hey. Welcome to Postcards from Faerie; excerpts from the storyline of Into the Mythica. The shots you see here are windows, checkpoints to chapters of true Story. More than just etchings of light; each of them fits into the context of a greater tale, a story mapping the constellations of a sacred path into the Mythica, the mythic aspect of this beautiful life.
Photography is archery; the aiming of our intention to pinpoint a moment of explicit truth. With my bow; I travel the worlds; taking aim from the lens of my Heart. These shots are my gift, to the wonderful beings I have been graced to encounter. An etched reminder of themselves in a recognition of their own beauty.
About the art; I almost never set shots up. My process is more about BEING in a lifestyle; in a way of walking this universe that leads one to the showing of divinity in everyday moments. In this way Postcards is a kind of mythic photo-journalism, documenting the movement through the manifest worlds of self-realization. These moments were not arranged; contrived; or prefabricated. Nor were they altered in photoshop* No models; no makeup artist; no sets. Simply what was happening on the grand quest of an evolving and magickal life.
A life devoted to Story.
Unlike traditional galleries which categorize photo location according to genre; the shots below are aspects of individual chapters in the storyline of this journey; showing a visual progression through Time. In the title and text of each photo is the Chapter from which they were shot; soon to be published online. Everything you see here is Real, and happened on the path of a mystical devotion to Story. Below you'll find shots of elementals and faeries, of beings incarnate in their highest selves; of spell-drawn familiars, gypsy adventurers, sacred dancers and more.
The intention of Postcards from Faerie is to honour the subtle world that we live within; and to illustrate the means to achieve it on your own. It asks and answers the question; how do we make our way to Eden? How do we reach the place where wonder occurs, where faeries are real, where we live amongst the authentic avatars of ourselves; manifest?
Your world revolves around you; around the shape and texture of your Heart; your ability to See the world in her majesty. In the world of the Mythica, it is never about changing the lens of the camera. Rather, to see that which waits right before your eyes, we change the lens of ourselves.
