Ferama - Bronzeskulpturen
Feramas Weg in der Kunst erhielt vor gut drei Jahren eine entscheidende Wende, als sie in Afrika auf die Möglichkeit des Bronzegusses stieß. Hier in Mali beeinflussen die Kraft der Sonne und der Erde ihre Arbeit auf eine Art und Weise, wie sie ihr selbst entspricht. In diesem Sinne gibt Ferama Mareike Wöbken in ihrer Kunst ihrem Wissen um die Lebendigkeit und Schönheit der Erde Gestalt und das Licht der Sonne verbindet sich in ihren Bronzeskulpturen mit dem der Erde. Viele der Skulpturen haben ihren Ursprung in alten Mythologien, speziell afrikanischen und asiatischen Ursprungs. Durch die Betrachtung und Berührung der Skulpturen entsteht eine Resonanz, die die Erinnerung an das eigene lebendige Wesen zum Schwingen bringt. Sie berühren im Betrachter altes Wissen, das sich mit der neuen Zeit verbindet. Die Künstlerin lebt in Paris und Bamako/Mali.
