Clean up the Pacific Gyre
Our mission is to find, capture, remove and recycle the millions of pounds of plastic in the "debris patches" found within the world's 5 major subtropical gyres, such as the eastern and western Pacific Gyres, in which ocean currents circle around a central point. Our strategy is to integrate new and existing remote sensing technologies for locating plastic marine debris patches, and to develop effective and environmentally sustainable techniques for removing it from the world's oceans. We will start with locating and cleaning up the eastern and western North Pacific Gyres which are also known as the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch". Our business model is to find "angel" donors to fund proof-of-concept testing of our unique hybrid-technology solution to locating and cleaning up the eastern and western North Pacific Gyres. Our communications tactic is to provide multiple informational links and videos on our site so that interested persons can become part of the scientific environmental remediation community seeking to prevent further environmental disaster from these grye-created marine-debris patches
