Howard Ferre has been a fixture of the theatrical sound design industry for 25 years. Having brought his musical direction to a wide variety of mediums he has also worked with several improv comedy troupes and theater companies; utilizing various tools such as piano, synthesizer and numerous percussion instruments. From reel-to-reel and it's manual splicing techniques, to today's software such as Pro Tools and other various computer applications, he enjoys evolving with the technology that powers the craft of sound design, music composition and theatrical musical direction. In his debut CD 'Journey's End', Howard Ferre takes the listener on a dramatic crossing through ambient landscapes of fused electronica, rock, old world and classical strains forged into nine movements of raw sound and emotional power. An expert at creating soundscapes and telling stories with music, Ferre has been a sound designer and composer in the theater for over 25 years, and is proud to introduce the listener to his new worlds with 'Journey's End'.
