Gord is an Architect, and retired from his job in July 12,2007, but objected to the word 'retired' and all of its implications! Thus we adopted the word 'recycled' instead, as we thought that it best described our ongoing new and challenging goals! That is why you see the 'recycled' emblem on our photo!
Our goal is to stay 'youthful' and 'fruitful'....... as you can see, we are being 'recycled'....definitely not 'retired'! We continue doing what we love to do.......first and foremost, meeting new people and making new friends, and of course trying to capture just a very miniscule sample of our surroundings and experiences with one of the greatest inventions............the camera! We defer any credits when the subject matter is always so challenging and spectacular
We always travel with a 'purpose', and it is the people that God chooses to put in our way who make our trip overwhelmingly worthwhile! What a privilege it is to be able to meet so many people who are always welcoming and willing to share their stories, life experiences, struggles and joys. We are continually thankful to God for each and every one of these very special and unique people we have met in our travels. We love them and they keep us humble.
For those of you who received our 'journals', we mentioned that we are definitely not 'shoppers'! The 'souvenirs' that we bring home are always the wonderful 'relationships' that we experienced on our journey. They are, in fact, the real 'treasures of our travels'!
Getting this website ready was a new and challenging experience for us. We have tried to keep it 'simple' and 'user-friendly'--It is a safe and clean website and is 'spam' and 'pop-up' free!
