Anna Belaya - In 2005 Anna Belaya (Voznyuk) graduated from the Art Institute in the city of Omsk, Russia, specializing in fashion design. Her costumes differ from standardized and drab American clothes due to a bold combination of bright and contrasting colors of Russian costumes and European techniques of sewing and cutting. As a "green designer" Anna doesn't use natural materials such as fur or leather. She likes to work with synthetic fabrics. The addition of non-fabrics (e.g. paper, plastic, glass, Christmas lights) is both provoking and dazzling. Her fantastic collections are created for theatrical performances, so the "out-of-this-world" look is intentional. Some of her models remind the audience of military women from the ancient times, aliens from Mars, mystery angels, or wicked demons. Anna Belaya started her shows in Sacramento, CA, in 2006. Her goal was to turn a fashion show into a theatrical performance by adding dancing, singing and magician's tricks. During the last 5 years Anna had a lot of performances in Sacramento, San Francisco and the Bay area. In 2008 she moved to Sunnyvale, CA, and started working with local dancers and musicians. Now Anna has a strong and diverse team that helps her create and promote her shows.
