Cows, orange groves and Daddy's backyard vegetable garden. That was my first roll of film back in 1978, back in our rural central Florida home. There are more sheep than cows, no orange groves or vegetable gardens like Daddy's anywhere near me now. Umm, I sure do miss his greens! Florida is on the other side of the world from New Zealand, my husband's homeland, which is where we have lived since July 2008. It's filled with beautiful places and interesting people. And the bluest sky I've ever seen.
As a photographer, wife and mother, my favourite subjects are children, pets and families. These are things that are close and dear to my heart, as I'm sure they are to you. When I look at the photographs I've taken through the years, I am immediately taken back to that time and place, remembering the people I love and the memories we share. Intangible, irreplaceable treasures.
