The Shrine of Remembrance is Victoria's memorial to the men and women who served Australia in armed conflicts throughout our Nation's history. Originally built to commemorate service in the First World War, 1914-18, it has been a growing monument since. Other memorials been added since to mark the service of successive generations, such as the Second World War Forecourt and the Remembrance Garden Post 1945 Memorial.,
