Jordan also suffers from autism. Dravet's syndrome is a devastating form of epilepsy that begins before the child is one year of age and is characterized by many different seizure types. The seizures are very hard to control with standard anti-epileptic drugs and many times you have to change them repeatedly. Status epilepticus (seizures lasting more than 5 minutes) is common and can be life-threatening.
