Peak to Peak Photography -- Paul Litman
Hello and thank you for visiting Peak to Peak Photography. I am Paul Litman, a professional photographer, based in Longmont, Colorado, who has been in the business of documenting and capturing life images since 1988.
I started my career in the U.S. Army as a Still Photographic Specialist, where I quickly learned the technical aspects of operating various cameras, studio lights, dark room equipment and other accessories. There I learned how to make photographs for news releases, publications, identification, medical, historical, documentation and other military purposes.
After getting honorably discharged in 1992, I continued my education by attending the University of Texas at Austin and earning a degree in photojournalism in 1996. At the university, I went from learning how to make technically good photos to learning how to connect with my subjects and documenting life as it happened.
In the summer of 1996, I moved to Longmont, Colorado, where I began working at the Longmont Times-Call as their advertising and features photographer. The Times-Call, where I am still currently employed, has allowed me to expand my photographic vision and artistry.
Over the years, working as a photojournalist, documentary and commercial photographer, I have learned that not only do I enjoy the art of making a great photograph, but I also enjoy the art of meeting and interacting with people. The ability to connect with people from all walks of life comes not only from listening to their needs but also from being compassionate and respectful for who they are and for the life they bring into this world.
I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Teresa, and I am the proud father of our daughter, Emma Rose.
